Merry Christmas from Stuart Mobility!
Well, another year has flown by, and Christmas is almost upon us. It’s a hectic time of year for many, but also a time for reflection as the year draws to a close and we prepare to welcome in a new one.
Once again, we’re incredibly proud to have supported many customers throughout 2025, matching people with the right rise recliner to provide comfort, support health, improve independence and enhance their day-to-day lives. The famous Christmas Carol sings of “Good tidings of comfort and joy” … well, that’s not something that we limit to Christmas! We like to spread comfort and joy all year round!
Christmas is traditionally a time for family, for being with loved ones, and for sharing special moments – so please spare a thought and some time for those in your local community who may not have relatives and loved ones to spend Christmas with. A phone call, or a cuppa and a chat can make all the difference to someone’s day, especially at this time of year when feelings of loneliness are especially poignant.

It’s also a time of year for sharing memories, so get together with others and enjoy a good old reminisce! Stories are lost if they’re not told, so encourage the older generations to share some tales from their early lives. It’s lovely for the younger members of the family to hear surprising stories from their grandparents’ youth – they might begin to view them with a totally fresh perspective once they’ve heard an anecdote or two, and it’ll provide them with an amazing insight into how life used to be … pre-technology and smart phones!
Reminiscing can bring up a complex tapestry of emotions – from joy to grief – but it’s important to remember loved ones lost and keep their memories alive. Again, young people love to hear about family members and friends they may not have had the fortune to meet – it helps them to form a picture of generations past, and the lives of ancestors whose genes they may share.
So, this Christmas, before you look forward to the New Year, why not spend a bit of time sharing tales of Christmases past, of great, great grandparents, of long-lost traditions … all while enjoying the perks and comforts of modern life in your comfortable rise recliner!
