Bringing a range of healthcare benefits

Having separate control over each aspect of movement provides the ultimate in comfort and safety – bringing a range of healthcare benefits. The precise, independent positioning can help to relieve issues such as chronic swelling including oedema and lymphoedema, poor circulation, postural hypertension, pressure sores, and breathing or digestive difficulties. This unique movement pattern combined with adjustable cushioning can also provide the postural stability needed for patients with neurological and progressive muscular conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Why You Should Put Your Feet Up

The BTLR is compatible with bariatric chairs as well as porter chairs

With the ability to carry weights of 25, 30, 40 and 50 stone, the BTLR is compatible with bariatric chairs as well as porter chairs. The tilt movement is a particularly important feature on bariatric chairs as it allows the user’s legs to be positioned high and redistributes pressure around the body when repositioning.

To add further options and adaptability over time, the chairs can be supplied with removable and adjustable back cushions, seat cushions and chaise, as well as pressure relief 4-way stretch fabric for ultimate comfort.

The BLTR is exclusively made in Wales in the Primacare factory, where they have their own metal foundry. Because it’s fully manufactured on site, the BLTR mechanism can be fitted to multiple different styles of chair giving full adaptability and ensuring it can meet the needs of many different users and caregivers. Many features have been designed with the needs of both the user and the carer in mind, for example, even in the ‘almost flat’ bed position, the chair can be raised to prevent the caregiver from having to bend down uncomfortably. Furthermore,

BLTR chairs can be fully customised with additional features such as drop-down arms for ease of transfer, specialised fabrics including waterproof, wipeable and antiviral, and pressure relief gel or air cushioning.
